This past week, the Trump Administration launched America.gov to the world.
Only those that have never attempted to get straight answers out of any part of the US Federal Government gainsay this tool.
Is it vibe-coded? Sure, that's likely. Looks like a Grok or Claude wrapped widget.
Yet all you need to do is ask the widget and you'll get the info you're looking for. No more hunting shit down on one of the dogshit agency sites, or out of date Congressional member sites, or needing to scour Reddit (or worse) to find the unlinked pages or scour the Wayback Machine or find a way around a paywall or any of that.
Want to know how to get a passport? Sorted. Deal with the VA? Sorted. Find out the conditions of Exotic Third World Tourist Trap? Sorted. Want to know if the Department of the Interior has any jobs available in Idaho? Sorted. Want to buy government surplus aircraft? Sorted.
"I could do that myself."
You can. Boomer Grandma can't. Your hapless Gen Z cousins can't. Your normie girlfriend can't. Your status-striving Millenial coworkers can't. They're the folks who need a one-stop-shop for questions about FedGov shit and this site does it.
You need to comprehend just how mind-blowing it is for most Normies to finally get ONE FUCKING PLACE with ALL THE OFFICIAL INFO, and all they need to do is talk to it. That's a level of simplicity, transparency, and directness out of FedGov that I have not seen in my lifetime- and no, it wasn't much better for my parents either.
From the Coming Soon page:
- Medicare
- Passports
- Jobs
You can count on enlistment, service academy application, Social Security stuff, and so much more just through that one portal. HUGE. Big win for Normies.
This needs to be replicated on the State, County, and City level immediately- especially State and County. PUSH THAT IDEA!
