Continuing The Recovery Of Ancient Remedy: "The Ancient City" In Full Audiobook Format

Last week I posted an excerpt from Fustel de Coulanges's The Ancient City. This week it's the full book in audio form, complete with commentary by the compiler- Christopher Anadale.

Why the gap?

The playlist creator had to clean up the list. Simple as that. Bad as things are, sometimes an error is just that and I held off until this got fixed.

If you enjoyed "The Ancient Family", you will love the full book. If you're the sort that likes to read and listen, Imperium Press's edition is the only one that you're going to easily find AND won't cost an arm and a leg- something I am particularly sensitive as I've already spent a leg.

In de Coulange's 19th century tome we shall find the remedy for what ails us, as this is a direct retort to the claims of Modernity and proves that our ancestors not only were not ignorant or nescient, but had already solved all of the social problems that ails the Modern World.

As with the Family, the decline of a nation, a society, or a civilization can be mapped to its deviation from this known solution to a known problem.

This is brilliant and effective rhetoric in action, as the Supreme Dark Lord noted previously. There's nothing difficult to grasp here: it's using pics from the various Middle Earth films, captioned with pro-Globalist SocJus propaganda (i.e. pro-Empire) with words swapped to show just how stupid, racist, and discivic that fraudulent ideology really is- and these memes are far superior at doing what the pro-SJW memers do, which makes the rhetoric doubly-effective upon the audience.

And the best part? The aforementioned Thralls of Empire have no defense against it. They can try to cite Tolkien's letters and other peripheral works, but it will fall on deaf ears and the smarter ones know it. I know what some of the bolder ones will try to do, but we have our counter ready: READ! ANOTHER! BOOK!. Again, the smarter Thralls know this and therefore will just say to let this blow over.

Fat fucking chance. We'll make the Hoaxing Media cover this as a legit story, just like we did for Kekistan, and then apply the pattern to something else just as powerful in terms of culture. We'll meme them to death, and then meme their memory to death. Empire will fall.

Without the Father, Nothing Endures

I've spent some time recently renewing my acquaintance with The Godfather and its sequels. The reason I did so was that a recurring theme came to mind, that of loyalty to the family (and Family), with the attendant duty to refrain from behavior that outsiders are not to witness. This behavior serves to undermine the Godfather--the patriarch--as he executes his supreme duty to safeguard and pursue the family's interests, making him seem other than capable and powerful- and thus not to be preyed upon (i.e. disrespected). It is also what drives Michael's sister, Connie, to push his son to supersede him in the third film.

These dynamics are not purely fictional. Change the context, and it becomes the story of a political dynasty navigating the treachery seas of dynastic politics. Change it again, and you get House of Cards. The reason that context merely changes the trappings without changing the behaviors is because of this: the family is the natural unit of Mankind, and all else that is lawful in Mankind's existence is an outgrowth of it.

We are now, globally, observing that this is true. We call this "identity politics", but it is really the reality of Mankind's existence in all of recorded history and most of the current world. The West's deviation is an aberration, and renewed exposure is going to put an end to this heresy--and it is a heresy--soon enough, because if it does not then the West shall cease to exist. The nations currently exploiting the West (with the help of traitors in the states of the West) have no qualms about putting the West to the sword for no other reason than that they are not Westerners and shall not preserve it.

Nations arise as outgrowths of families, through the mechanisms of extended kinship in clans and tribes, and kingdoms emerge when a single father-figure must emerge for the smooth execution of the duty to preserve the nation-family from predators without as well as fools within. (There is such a thing as too much talk at the wrong time.) The issue thereafter is the formalization and ossification of an emergent lawful hierarchy into artifice that does not reflect the shifting circumstances that life imposes; who is king must change when the circumstances shift too severely for the current crown to meet them, something ordinarily done with the simple passage of time and encounters with hostiles taking their toll.

The limit of an authority to respond effectively to predatory threats is the actual boundary condition for any authority, be it the lawful authority of a family (at any scale) or the artifice of a state (similarly, or subset thereof, such as a military). The question of legitimacy turns on this capacity, and people will accept many hardships and restrictions on individual agency so long as their father-figure is seen to effectively execute the duties put to him. It is no accident that political thought equates the people to children, for without the wisdom of the father too many too often are little more than children- and this very well-known phenomenon is proof of a fundamental quality of Mankind's nature, one that cannot be changed.

The answer to the matter of Empire is to acknowledge this as Natural Law, and to abandon everything that denies it in favor of reforming one's communities and societies into lawful reflections of this fact. Patriarchy is Natural Law.

Life is a Solved Problem

I have reason to believe that all of life is a solved problem.

The reason I say so is that all of the issues Mankind faces today are problems faced before, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. The causes are the same, the phenomena through which these problems arise and proceed are the same, and therefore so are the solutions. We already know what to do to solve the problem. This is the definition of a solved problem.

So we are dealing with a lack of will coupled with a lack of clarity caused by deliberate deception. Those pushing the problem (for whatever reasons) are lying to the rest of us for their own benefit, which makes what they are doing fraud and thus inherently predatory. The problems are solved; all that needs be done is to apply the solution.

Ultimately, what this means is simple: to declare clearly what the problem is, who is responsible for it, and execute them all for their predatory behavior. Zombies, et. al., are not real: corpses cannot (and therefore do not) reoffend, so killing those who do you or yours harm is not wrong, not a crime, and not even offensive. It is laudable, necessary, and expected of anyone seeking to get and remain free from Empire.

Apply the solutions. Empire cannot withstand Natural Law, which is what that means. Empire must fall.

Pedo Hillary Is Empire's Thrall

A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for treason, sedition, blasphemy, pedophilia, human sacrifice, and degeneracy. This woman is not simply a gangster, but a cultist and a cult leader. Her allegiance is not to the United States, but to an alien power; she would put all of us to the knife in sacrifice to her demonic master if she could- her contempt for we common people is all over the confirmed and vetted emails released by Wikileaks. It is, therefore, not merely a matter of lawful exercise of responsible citizenship to deny her bid for the Presidency; it is a matter of national and civilizational survival.

There is no scenario where a Hillary win is legitimate. By Federal statute she is already disqualified from office; her proven mishandling of classified material does this. By her own emails, she confesses to illegally rigging the Democrat primary; that's conspiracy on top of other acts. If she would readily rig the primary, then there is no doubt she will order the rigging of the general; her win is tainted, suspect, and likely an outcome of criminal conspiracy to corrupt the process.

Hillary's emails show her collusion with foreign nationals for her own gain at the expense of the American nation, the Republic, and the United States as a country. Hillary's ties to child predators and traffickers are known, as is her intimate ties to what goes on in those circles; by way of her, domestic traitors connect with foreign fellow travelers and facilitate international trafficking of their prey so material desires (the oil pipeline proxy war in Syria) can also be slaked.

Pedo Hillary is Empire's Thrall. She is so deep in Empire's embrace that she's been subsumed by it and is an avatar for it. Her evil, now out and confirmed, will only escalate should she seize again the levers of power in the United States. She brings barbarism, savagery, and chaos in her wake- as we see in the Middle-East most certainly. Vote for her, and you vote for Empire- you betray your people, your country, your God and Civilization and shall surely gain a traitor's reward.

If you wish to stop the threat to peace, justice, and Civilization then you cannot vote for Pedo Hillary. Make America Great Again. Vote Trump.

Net Neutrality Is Critical to Human Freedom

So, the FCC is set to allow Comcast to play favorites in Internet traffic.

Since three of the FCC's key members are nothing more than slave-agents to Comcast and its allies, it should be no surprise that they acted on behalf of their true masters to seize control of the Internet and attempt to turn it into a vast collection of walled gardens with velvet ropes and VIP sections. This is nothing more than an outright power grab on a global medium under the color of "free trade". Everyone, worldwide, is immediately and directly affected by this scam- and everyone needs to threaten bloody murder (literally, as in "Anonymous will find where you fuckers live, tell everyone, and then mobs will descend on you and butcher you like the pigs you are") to stop this because that's what it will take to stop this.

Do you like being able to set up your own little online business and engage in international commerce with the entire planet? This decision will FUCK YOU IN THE ASS. Do you like being able to buy from those businesses? FUCKED IN THE ASS. Communicate with the entire planet, about all sorts of topics? FUCKED. ASS.

Do you like being able to get information about something happening in someplace distant from you from people who are there, that you trust, without have to deal with some bullshit "official narrative"? You, buddy, are GOING TO GET FUCKED FIRST. That's what is in Comcast's sights, since Comcast is a media company that's deeply embedded with the Anglo-American Establishment through chains of corporate ownership; no more RT, no more PressTV, no more Dude On The Ground w/ a Reddit Account doing AMAs, no more citizen news reporting, no more of any of that. Why? Because those outlets are going to get throttled to oblivion, and when folks resort to the Dark Net to compensate the next step will be to make use of a VPN a criminal offense in itself using piracy and terrorism as their covers; more people get nailed, jailed, and then nailed while in jail. The first step in a police state crackdown is to choke uncontrolled information conduits.

Comcast WILL play favorites, by that I mean that Comcast will run a protection racket. "Nice business you got here. Sure would be a shame if you lacked the bandwidth to handle it." Comcast will pick winners and losers, and take bribes to influence its picks. It intends to fully adapt to the Internet Age by making the Internet into Cable, and that's putting it nicely; putting it bluntly is to say that Comcast fully intends to control what you see, how you see it, when, where, and how- and take bribes to influence each and every one of those steps. Like Raw Story? Better hope they paid the protection fee. Into InfoWars? Likewise. Your favorite YouTube, Twitch, Dailymotion, Vimeo, Netflic, Hulu, HBO Go, or other video/streaming sites? Better hope that they can somehow pay more per month (or whatever) than the MPAA and RIAA over throttling their connections. Like buying the latest Gundam model straight from Japan? Better hope that Paypal and Hobby Japan are current on their payments. Are you into Bitcoin or its competitors? Each and every one of them will have to cough up the protection money or get fucked. Like buying PC games over Steam or Origin? Ditto.

Your autonomy, your freedom of association, your power to direct your life in all things is DIRECTLY UNDER ATTACK by this move.

Your online banking, if it's not one of the Too Bigs, will get throttled to death if Comcast gets its way. Your ability to make use of services like LegalZoom, or your county/city libraries, or your university services, are also under attack. It does not matter if you think you have nothing to hide, or if you're within legal limits. You are being treated like a child here, as if you are too fucking retarded or insane to handle your own affairs, and until you stand up and defend your natural rights by any means necessary you will be treated like a retarded child by those who think themselves your masters.

So, for those inclined to stay within the bullshit systems of government increasingly revealed as nothing more than leg-breakers for corporate-centered elite interests, lean on your national governments. Lean hard; make it crystal clear that those in office now WILL NOT STAY IN OFFICE so long as Net Neutrality is not sacrosanct world-wide. Lean on every last NGO that you can, no matter what they're about. Their ability to freely communicate are just as threatened as yours or mine by this move, so they too are directly and immediately affected by it, and therefore they too have a vested interest in seeing it taken out by the woodshed and clubbed to death with a baseball bat. They really don't want to pay protection money just to do business at all, so they're better off fighting it than going along with it. Lean on every for-profit business you can. All concerns great and small are better off fighting this than siding with it, but especially small businesses and those not favored by these mega-corporations such as Comcast: Apple, Google, Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, Smith & Wesson, Winchester, Gollanz, Amazon, Kodak, and so many more are ALL better off with Net Neutrality as a sacred pillar of world civilization.

Lean, people. Lean good and hard. Especially those of you outside of the United States, LEAN DAMMIT. The Obama Administration will fold faster than Superman on laundry day if a critical mass of foreign governments, especially European and Far Eastern ones, turn out for Net Neutrality as an untouchable principle of both world trade and world civilization. (Sure, hypocricy abounds, but that's a post for another day.) Translate and spread this post everywhere you want to link or repost it. (Just link it back here and attribute properly; credit where credit is due.)

But we need a Plan B, and that plan is this: take advantage of the accelerating velocity of technological development, especially where the Internet is concerned, and support ALL efforts to take this capacity for a thing like Comcast (or a government, for that matter) to acquire and use such control. Render the threat obsolete. Internet technology moves far, far faster than governments can legislate or regulate and we need to exploit this fact to ensure the continued survival of a free and open network. We must see this move as damage, and route around it ASAP. Cut out the bastards, and continue out without them.

The logical consequence of this is an increased movement towards a practical global anarchy as the ability for people to organize themselves to fulfill their needs and express their desires will show more and more people just how irrelevant corporations and governments really are- and that we need to kick both of them to the curb if Mankind is to move on to its full maturity as both a species and as a collection of free and independent individuals. This move is a direct threat to world freedom; it is slavery in action.

We can't fulfill the increasing trend towards decentralization of all human life, and the empowerment of common people, if this goes through; it has to stop, NOW, just like SOPA and PIPA got stopped or everyone that is not Them loses. Empire must fall.

How to Deal With a Non-Standard Claim of Knowledge

Good morning!

Today we're going to weave some threads together, as an example of how to arrive at a non-standard claim of knowledge and why these things are so damned difficult.

By now you should have finished Mark Passio's presentation, posted two days ago. If you haven't, go catch up now; you need to grok what he's talking about for this post to do you a damn bit of good. You also should have read my post about non-standard knowledge claims; back up and read that if you haven't. This post will be here when you're done.

The key problem with non-standard claims of knowledge is that the source for the claim is internal to the claimant, so the audience cannot readily seek out that source and verify independently that the claimant's statement is correct. That does not mean that the audience cannot investigate the claim, but rather that the claimant must understand what the nature of the process for his claim of knowledge actually is and how this process works before relying upon such things when making an argument. Using a recent example, I shall illustrate what's going on.

Why am I insisting upon your familiarity with Passio's presentation? Because the points that he makes in his presentation are going to be thrust before you in the video embedded below, and they're going to come at you hard and fast because the video is less than five minutes long from start to finish, so you need to pay close attention when you watch it- and you will watch it.

Now, the meat of this matter:

• Non-Linear Expressions of Ideas: The use of the Fine Arts, as extensions of the Liberal Arts, allows competent users to efficiently communicate very complex ideas with very little effort. We acknowledge this as true through the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words." Each medium of Fine Art has particular and unique qualities--strengths and weaknesses--that favor some forms of expression over others, such that the same subject matter can communicate significantly different complex ideas merely by changing the medium wherein that subject matter is used. When used in concert, the synergy between them is so powerful that ideas that otherwise take years to communicate by way of standard academic practices can be had in minutes. The mechanics for this phenomenon stems in the ability to think in non-linear ways, taking otherwise disconnected thoughts and thought patterns and weave them together into a cohesive and coherent whole. This is what "great art", of any kind, is meant--and intended--to do.
  
• Emotionally-Powered Cognition: The mechanics of non-linear cognition comes from intuition, and intuition roots itself in emotion. It is the melding of Thinking and Feeling, each informing and guiding the other, covering each other's gaps and reinforcing each other's strengths. Non-standard knowledge claims, therefore, have a root in the emotions of the claimant at the time of discovery and are therefore specific to the individual that has such a claim. This does not make the claim false, or disallow transmission. What it does do is require that the recepient experience the same emotional state that the claimant had, or--in other words--the former individual must replicate the experience wherein that non-linear expression event occurred. This is, by the way, is what an Initiation Rite--properly comprehended and executed--is and does; by extension, we are talking about claims of knowledge that stem from an individual's ecstatic encounters with the vast portion of the universe that is beyond Mankind's sense-perception.
  
• Symbolism as Shortcut: The mechanics of this method for claiming knowledge rely greatly on symbolism for its efficiency. This is not just the visual symbol, but also the symbolism found in sound--music especially--as well as in the means of their use by the transmitter. For example, the video embedded below uses clips from a variety of recent major motion pictures over which one tune from one soundtrack plays. The transmitter--in this example, the individual that arranged the clips and matched them to the music--chosen with great care and deliberation what clips to use, when to use them in the sequence and how to match them to the time of the music employed. That not only transforms the components--symbols themselves, all of them--into something with different (sometimes very different) symbolic representations than originally presented, but also allows the creation of an entirely new symbol in the aggregate.
  
• Culture as Language: It is no accident that a vast array of Man's literature rests upon the narratives of individuals (themselves symbols) who undergo initiatory rites in pursuit of some goal, however great or small, and are transformed into what they must become to achieve those objectives. This is the basis for the formation and transference of culture across generations, of the assimilation of cultures when encountered, and adjustment of cultures as they adapt to pressures put upon them by other forces. It is also no accident that the decline of a culture coincides with the abandonment or usurpation of initiatory rites and the disdain of their power for discovery and transmission of knowledge by those now unfamiliar with them. Whatever else may be said of Joseph Campbell, this element--the power of myth as a means of initiation--and his recognition of its power as an element of Natural Law (for it is not created by Man; Man merely discovered it, and it is both universal and immutable) is sufficient to put him up as a great hero for generations to come- and he got from here to there through experiencing that initiation himself via his studies.
  
  The effect of this method for non-standard knowledge claims increases as the culture connecting transmitter to recipient strengthens. Even a period of short-term preparation, as I have ask of you above, can greatly increase the efficiency of the process. By using multiple media, and multiple events, a transmitter can prepare the recipient for the ecstatic experience that the transmitter encountered previously; the recipient already comprehends the component symbols in the experience, becomes familiar with the circumstances wherein the encounter occurs (vital to achieving the emotional state that is necessary for successful transmission), and therefore has the vocabulary necessary to properly comprehend the experience. This is why preservation of a nation's--a people's culture--is something worth fighting for, literally so, and if necessary worth killing and dying for.
  
• And This Relates How?: Long before the academic world arose and imposed the now-standard criteria for claims of knowledge, this is the way it was done. Your elders, your teachers, etc. guided you through a process of preparation leading to a culmination that was an initiatory rite, past which you were expected to take on a new role and become a wholly different individual within the community. We still have remnants in the Western of this in our marriage traditions, but other elements that together comprised a very efficient system that guided newborns through the process that would create young adults have steadily been snatched out of our hands or cut away altogether- and we've suffered for it. This is Empire in action, abusing lawful systems where it can and cutting off access (but not destroying them; Empire cannot circumvent Natural Law anymore than Mankind can) where it can't; we see this in a more comprehensible manner through religious and political cults of all sorts, through the practices of culture-shaping seen in totalitarian regimes of all sorts, and in the influence of centralized media over the population.
  
  We need to make use of this method once more, and if we don't know how to deal with it then we can't--and won't--benefit from sources of knowledge that don't come from centralized institutions that are easily corralled by powerful interests (Thralls of Empire) and suborned to their will. Part of what we have to do to save ourselves is to learn how to directly discover knowledge by way of encountering it directly, and then transmitting it through the means we once took as standard practice. This is not to discount critical thought; that way lies cults and all the madness therein. Rather, what I'm saying is that we must reclaim this as a valid basis for knowledge to be used as a full and equal partner to the externally-focused standards of academia- and that includes full and equal subjectivity to interrogation by means of the Trivium and Quadrivium. Logic and Intuition are partners, not enemies, and should be treated as such.

So, now that you've spent 15-20 minutes reading all of that, take another five to watch this music video. Can you see how it efficiently communicates all of Passio's points in a fraction of the time, but only if you already have the language to comprehend what's been said here? If so, then you grok what non-standard knowledge claims are, how they work, and why they are not inherently invalid- but instead fully and equally valid ways to knowing the universe. With this dimension restored, making Empire fall will come much faster.

And You Can Do What With This?

This is a question that we don't talk about enough, not as I'm about to.

We're not dealing with a problem that can be solved in a way that fits with instant gratification. It's going to take more time than we're conditioned to tolerate, and it's going to take more effort than that either. We're doing what Empire did, which is culture shaping. That's a slow process, and if you can't change your perspective to a long-term one where you may not even see the benefits accrue to yourself--e.g. planting a tree that won't mature until well after you're dead and gone--then you're going to fail. If you're here for the destination, you're doing it wrong.

That's because the destination IS the journey; the process IS the result. A life without Empire is a life of continuous change, and therefore of regular development, in accord to the rhythm of the real--natural--world. It is a life where the changes you make in yourself are developments in reaction to the changes in the natural world, ensuring that Man's development is part of the natural world and thus Nature benefits from Man's actions; the natural world improves, becoming stronger and more resilient as a direct result of Man and Nature's equal and mutually beneficial partnership of co-creation. To live in this manner is not to abandon science, or technology, but instead to see how to use what we learn and create to benefit reality and ensure that all of us enjoy the new state of reality that our journey--and thus our process--inspired and generated.

So, what does this mean? We must act, and we must act on multiple levels of scale and scope--time, space, etc.--so that we can stave off threats arrayed by Empire and its Thralls in the short-term long enough for medium-term and long-term efforts to begin to manifest in the real world and shape emergent creations to our benefit. We must take what we know, and use our skills and knowledges to communicate this to others so that our knowledge spreads.

Yeah, that means that I'm already on this by operating this 'blog, both in writing my own posts as well as linking to the work of others. This sort of thing is typical in the course of action, but that is NOT the only way to go. Here's some others, rarely discussed but very powerful and should be ideas that we take up:

• Fiction Writing: I write fiction, specifically genre fiction. At this time I'm just an amateur story-teller who writes genre fiction as a hobby, but I have one friend and a few acquaintances who write genre fiction professionally (and I plan on joining them, taking steps to this end). I have no problem with doing as generations of authors did before me, which is to use literature to communicate values to audiences present and future, for one good reason- IT WORKS VERY FUCKING WELL! This does not mean that you get to skimp on the development of one's craft as a fiction writer, a novelist, a short-story writer, a film/TV/comic scriptwriter and so on; you still have to deliver the goods or you won't get read, and that's where I'm at now- putting in the time to develop my craft.
  
• Poetry & Music: I have a lot of respect for musicians and poets who embrace the Bardic tradition and use their talents, and I do attempt to write verse now and again. I live in a place where outfits like Rhymesaysers Entertainment base themselves, so getting exposed to musicians such as Brother Ali is not that hard, and Amanda Palmer--regardless of what you think of her--is a woman whose talents are used in this manner (which makes sense, as her husband uses his talents as a fiction writer in the same way). Again, you have to know your shit and master your craft, but if you do you can tap into something very powerful; there's a reason that Empire always wants control over such things, and that's due to its awareness of the threat it presents to it.
  
• Scholars & Journalists: We need a surge of independent investigators in both the academic and the journalism worlds. We're seeing now a new vanguard of independent operators such as Ben Swann, and this is an encouraging sign because by breaking the chains that commonly keep people from any useful action we can create our own communication channels and circumvent gatekeepers whose gainsaying is not about sound scholarship and instead all about maintaining Empire's Matrix via orthodoxy. We need our own academic journals, our own media outlets, and we need to network amongst them so that we can create wholesale replacements for corrupt institutions that no longer serve Mankind.

There's more, and I may return to this topic another day when I can find or invent other ways that aren't often considered to get the word out and then to organize--in the holarchic manner that we are meant for--to cut off Empire and instead handle our affairs ourselves. Empire must fall.
